I hope Amzamz stops deliberately and not because of some malfunction

Amzamz, I really appreciate your regular sharing of photos. Thumbs up for finding good sceneries. I particularely like the panorama shots you make. Is this a default setting of your camera? Or do you edit the pics?

      Cheers

        Amzamz,

Your #45 has got to be the Spyker with the most kilometres of all.

And of course supercars are there to be driven.....thanks for sharing your travel pictures.

...now here is a rough map depicting the activities of #045. Note: some distances were traveled many times. Also note that the actually very exciting bits are better represented in the photo gallery.

Countries touched include: Germany (18,787km), Netherlands (1,121km), Belgium(1,320km), France (4,919km), United Kingdom (7,021km), Denmark (350km), Sweden (1,016km), Norway (2,870km), Spain (956km), Andorra (48km), Monaco (10km), Italy (406km), Switzerland (3,188km and a speeding ticket), Liechtenstein (5km), Austria (83km). A total of 42,100km so far... and no major problems... I can recommend (a) the German "autobahn" for acceleration and speed, (b) the mountain roads of Switzerland, Andorra, France etc for uphill chases and (c) the coastline of France or Italy, or the city centers of London or Barcelona for onlookers or just to promenade with your girl friend.

Europe is divided into three parts (1) too wet (the North, Centre and West), (2) too hot (the South) and (3) too risky for car theft (the East) and the three parts even overlap! I would love to get the opportunity to do Scotland, Portugal or Greece next...

Thumbs up for putting some mileage on your Spyker!!!

I wonder whether yours would qualify as the one with most mileage?? Most I've seen 4-digits. You would definately be a good contender!

I would agree that Amz must have the most miles, but there are more Spykers with 5 digits. I'm at 30,000Km (just not all mine, but I'm working on it)

                high mileage

A simple thought and a brief investigation:
How long would the Spyker last? How can we make a guess? The body and engine is aluminium, the handicraft looks excellent, the engine is Audi A8...
I have investigated a German website for second hand cars AutoScout24 Europas Automarkt für Gebrauchtwagen und Neuwagen and found the following for Audi A8:
                0-50,000km------------212 cars for sale
                50-100,000km----------404 cars for sale
                100-150,000km---------260 cars for sale
                150-200,000km---------148 cars for sale
200-400,000km---------76 cars for sale (the highest at 380k)

                compare this to
                Ferraris (all)
                0-50,000km------------610 cars for sale
                50-100,000km----------133 cars for sale
                100-150,000km---------10 cars for sale
150-200,000km---------2 cars for sale (the highest at 156k)
                200-400,000km---------no cars for sale

                and compare this to
                Porsche 911
                0-50,000km------------2377 cars for sale
                50-100,000km----------1079 cars for sale
                100-150,000km---------447 cars for sale
                150-200,000km---------171 cars for sale
200-400,000km---------62 cars for sale (the highest at 375k)

I guess the Spyker should be fairly good even at higher mileage!!!! Looking at the above statistics, I would be quite confident to actually drive my car up to 200,000km without hesitation. Am I wrong?

Not wrong at all..driving the #045 up to 200K will be a great show for Spyker to prove the high quality.

Amzamz, nice rain cover you have there. Does that come off the factory? Or is it custom-made?

I think it's more a 'park' cover than a 'rain' cover
