So nice of the tow truck operator to wash his hands in the mud before reaching in to turn the steering wheel...that just cracked me up

Underwater, Literally, With a $2 Million Bugatti
              By RICHARD S. CHANG

Eddie Griffin might finally be off the hook for the most ridiculous crash in a priceless supercar. On Wednesday, a man drove a Bugatti Veyron into a lagoon in Texas after avoiding a low-flying pelican.

According to The Galveston County Daily News, the driver was checking out real estate in La Marque, Tex., when the pelican swooped into view:

The man jerked the wheel, dropped his cellphone and the car’s front tire left the frontage road and entered a muddy patch, which foiled his attempt to maneuver away from the lagoon.

The Veyron’s powerful engine gurgled like an outboard motor for about 15 minutes before it died.

The man was uninjured, physically, though after drowning the Veyron, which is priced at around $2 million, his ego might be a little damaged. (Lawrence Ulrich reviewed the new Veyron in The New York Times this month.)

Now Jalopnik has unearthed video of the Veyron being towed out of the water:

                not the first one...

There was another one, many years ago. The story is as good: he was stopped at the Swiss border and asked to pay import tax. As an aswer the owner dropped the car into the lake.

Yup it's on you tube. That's the smallest pelican or seagull or what ever he said he was trying to avoid hitting.

Good luck with that claim with the insurance company dude.

It is nice that the previous article called back Eddie Griffin into the picture, as the owner and driver of this Veyron is Andy House, who runs Performance Auto Sales.
                            So, what?
PAS is the same company who bought the crashed Enzo from Griffin, repaired it, and it's now trying to sell it.
It is even funnier if you think that House still claims some sort of a giant bird distracted him while driving, despite the fact that there is no such bird in the video filming his epic fail.
