I'm going to guess that you are hearing the ABS pump... if so, that is not good... Just a feeling I have. I STILL think it is your battery or something electrical... Ask Holland what they did with 038 because after I read this, you are explaining something that is similar (if not exactly) to what my first C8 did. It's worth the call to ask them what was wrong with my 038. I never did find out.

I talked to Rijk on the phone last night and he mentioned it was a faulty sensor that caused the fans to come on. I am sure he'll give an update today.

The factory expects a faulty sensor that is located next to radiator under the front lip. They say it can fail if it gets too wet.

I also dropped a note to my guys to call your guys at MM and discuss what may have happened with it. I hope it is something as simple as the sensor but I highly doubt it. What you described is much more than that. I got the impression that your car would not run. Did I misunderstand?

Luckely, you misunderstood. The car runs fine. Even the temps are OK. It's just that after I turn off the car that I have issues.

There are some wires that melted together on the control unit. The factory sent a new unit.

The new unit is a modular system, so you can replace parts. In the old one everything is all one system.

Here is the old control unit. A new modular version is installed and everything works fine again.

Good to see Spyker is constantly improving several parts.
