... interesting news today: a planet was found, "Kepler 22b", probably having similar conditions like earth, gravity similar, temperature similar, solar energy density similar, etc. Existence of a large quantity of water (oceans), an oxygen atmosphere, or even life would be possible... fascinating thought, isn't it? ... however, it is 600 light years away! That means, we are very unlikely to ever know the truth. Even at the speed of light, that is a 1,200 years return journey, and no Spyker race car can help :lol:, nothing can go faster than light. Why do we fund such research at all? The discovery of the Americas was peanuts, and it had a real relevance for our life today, the Atlantic takes just a few hours across.
