Am I reading this correctly: if the gas prize had only been influenced by inflation, a gallon gas which was ~ $ 0.25 in 1918 should cost $ 3.50 now.

The average gas price of a gallon is $ 3.08

      1 US gallon = 3.7854 liters

      1 liter = $ 0.81

      1 US $ = € 0.64

      1 liter = € 0.52

I wish we could pay € 0.52 per liter (we pay € 1.55 per liter in The Netherlands)

I know you can't compare the prizes, but still: the differences are huge!
