    Warm up

The Snoras Spyker #85 continued to impress during this morning warm-up session: 4th place! The Speedy sister car was a bit further behind in 10th position, but we have seen them crawling up the field in previous races, resulting in two fourth places in the last two races. So anything is possible!

Since the times are really close, time won or lost in the pits can be crucial for getting a good result. I am happy that the Snoras Spyker crew is the best in the field! If we look at the past, Spyker did always well at the Nürburgring, so it's a circuit that suits the Spyker well. The reliability issues which Spyker had to cope with this season seem to be solved. At least they have not reappeared during this weekend yet. In all sessions, both Spykers were able to maximize tracktime so that looks promissing! The initial target of getting in the top 5 at the end of the race looks very realistic to me. After the promissing first practices a third place was mentioned as being the target now. Spyker did manage to close the gap compared to last year and even compared to the previous races this year so they made a big step in the right direction. I hope the reliability shown in all the sessions so far will also be there during the race. With the field close together, the slick pitwork of the Squadron crew can make the difference!

    Warm-up times:

01 - #96 Virgo Motorsport Ferrari 430 GT 1:58,808 (Yes they made it and probably wanted to check the sysytems at full speed, hence the very quick warm-up time)
    02 - #90 Farnbacher Racing Ferrari 430 GT 1:59,977
    03 - #77 Team Felbermayr-Proton Porsche 997 GT3 RSR 2:01,015

            Race 1 hour report

We're an hour into the race and the Spyker #85 was in 7th position just before the pitstops. They are not far behind and I expect them to win at least one but maybe two places with the upcoming pitstops. That would put them in 5th position and that's what they deserve on speed alone, but if they are reliable and others fail... The #94 is further behind but they proved in the past that their drivers are both of the same quality as where some other teams have at least one gentlemandriver, so I expect them to go forward as well and improve on their current 10th position!

update: #85 has gained one position in the pitstops in the GT2 class in which the Squadron crew indeed excelled by delivering the two fastest pitstoptimes 1:10,007 for #94 and 1:10,966 for #85 (The pitstop of #91 Farnbacher Racing Porsche was quicker but they did not change the driver). #94 now being in 9th position.

Two hours gone, its pitstop time again! Ralf Kelleners doing his personal best time, very close to Peter Dumbreck, that started the race, his fastest lap. Maybe that's an indication that the #85 has to stop pretty soon.

A lot of GT2 action in the pitlane right now!

Very fast pitstop for the #85 car 1:05,327 some whopping 10 seconds faster than most of the teams! Vasiliev in the car now. Good pitstop for the #94 as well, Leuenberger setting fastest lap for that car previous lap!

                                #85 = 6th en #94 = 7th

To bad that Vasiliev is so slow...
