  • WARNING : "E15" gasoline

Dear Spyker dudes- a car buddy sent this to me.. Not that we would use this vinegar for our Spyker's or our other high-end exotic/collectables etc; but still very good to know... what a joke, things are just getting ludicrous .. Kurt

There is a type of gasoline about to come on the market called "E15."
Under NO circumstances should you use it.
Watch this clip from FOX news and see why.

Ethanol is bad sh*t. When stored for long periods of time it will turn into a gummy substance; it also attracts moisture. It'll muck up carburetors and fuel pumps and will attack non-ethanol resistant rubber components.

To search for stations near you that sell real 100% gasoline, look here: Ethanol-free gas stations in the U.S. and Canada

The E10 currently on sale is not great if left in the engine for a long time. Especially bad for chain saws - run it till empty before you store it. Something I cannot do with the Spyker!!

This is like a suicidal note for automobiles aka E15. Because of a tax credit hidden in the fiscal cliff deal, the use of the E15 fuel mix could become more widespread. However, according to AAA and many automakers, the move could damage vehicles, and lead to the invalidation of automaker guarantees.
