Newbie questions

Hello
I just joined as I am in search of a C8 to purchase. I would like to know what came with the car as part of the purchase and any known issues assume the list below:

Manuals
luggage
car cover
window sticker
number of keys
tool set
tow hook

Engine belts
service records
clutch life

Thanks in advance

tool set: yes

Engine belts: earlier cars, needs to be replaced based on age, not mileage
service records: should be there

Thank for the response and details.

Does the engine belt require removing the engine?

Is there a list of options anywhere? I see some cars have the propeller wheel as an option. Also any recommendations you have as to items or issues I should be looking for as part of my search.

Is there any website or other source I should be referring to for guidance?

Thanks again.

Does the engine belt require removing the engine?: For the belt engine, yes. The chain engine, no. (32 hours of labor for the belt engine)

Is there a list of options anywhere? I see some cars have the propeller wheel as an option. Also any recommendations you have as to items or issues I should be looking for as part of my search: Only the early cars have the propeller steering wheel standard. Very hard to find. Spyker is not supporting conversions.

Is there any website or other source I should be referring to for guidance?: You are on it...

Most cars seem to have all the options that are known - aluminum dashboard, aeroblade wheels, spyker logo on headrests, sport/whisper exhaust mode, wide body spec, quilted leather, xenon headlights, soft top.

I have seen reference to heated seats but not seen one with them...

The Spyker cases are common and were still available when I last tried a couple of years ago. The rarest option is a bespoke set of Louis Vuitton cases but not sure how many were actually made or sold.

A few more things to consider. Black Chronoswiss dials is a very exclusive option. Two, three or four vent AC will tell you about certain upgrades. Four point seat belts (early cars), CPP (early) vs Karmann (later) body, Periscope mirror (never a formal option), Two different soft tops as well as a hard top to consider. Aluminum versus Magnesium wheels.

Thanks all for details and great information. I happen to be looking at a early model C8 with VIN XL9AA11G56Z363151. It has (3) AC vents. I heard from another dealer that this car was improperly stored, the motor damaged, and was replaced with a motor from an Audi with 16k or 60k miles on it. An this second motor need to be replaced as well.

Spoke to a sales person at the selling dealership and was told they are not aware of this.

Any way to validate the truth of this?

The owner is on here if you look around, and maybe a private message to him will give you the answers. You can check matching numbers hopefully from the documentation and original window sticker.
