Estimate is €150-180K ($170-200K). It's still early days in the auction....

To me it's not all that surprising. The Spyker market is so thinly traded and it takes a very special buyer. I think it's all about timing. I mean, you have to *want* a Spyker and be looking for one when one is actually available. In the case of an auction, you need at least 2 of such people.

              • And did it sell? Top bid is not necessarily a sale.

                • There are at least three US people actively looking for a Spyker. I would have thought that this would be a great buy, even with the headache of importing it to the US. This is a very abused car, that would take some time to sort out.

                  • Rijk-
why do you say its an abused car ?

                    • It has been floating around for many years. Countless people sat in it, and test drove it, abused it and for sure needs a lot of TLC to get it back to working condition. Much like the #207. It's first years as a factory show car left a lot of wear and tear on the car, before I took possession of it as the first owner. More than the mileage would suggest. More than 20 things had to be fixed....

That's what the advert says - and last seen here in April a few pages back (page 97); in the Ukraine... and I was offered it in 2010 by Mark Thomas in Texas. It travels well and I still like the color combination.

                              • Under 200K, US side. Sounds like a good deal. since it's in Brooklyn, Tom could get the car in top condition for half of what the usual suspects offer...
