  • Jungle find (in stead of barn find)

During the Concours d'Elegance classic car show this weekend at the Loo Palace in Apeldoorn NL a unique Spyker will be on display, probably from 1906.

The over 100 year old car was recently found in French Guyana and has now been restored. It is probably one of the five remaining Spykers 15/22.

In 1960 the car was located in France, near Paris. Twenty years later a French family exported the Spyker to French Guyana. The current owner found it there in the jungle.

The owner says the car is in remarkably good condition. The Spyker hadn't been used for eighty years, but technically the car was still complete. During the Concours d'Elegance experts will try to determine the exact age of the car.

Seems to have been bought by Stijnus Schotte (who also owns and drives the Peking-to-Paris).
