Spyker production and sales

According to the coventry telegraph CPP will produce the first customer model of the Spyker C8 Aileron in the spring. CPP announced late last year that “extraordinary developments” at the company had held up production.

"There have been several developments – all positive – which has meant that process has taken longer than we originally planned.”

Damn, that is taking a long time! I wonder if the whole promo tour they did in 2009(?) was "useless". I guess a lot of potential customers lost interest.

.. no I don't think so! The public awareness is important, and you can only build it up slowly by a combination of things, like racing, shows, TV, magazines, presence in films, 1/43 scale models etc. Impatient buyers may go elsewhere, I agree, but they probably wanted a Ferrari or an Aston Martin, anyway. Since most of the current Spyker buyers are "car collectors", they may buy whenever time has come... I am optimistic!
